“It is not the strongest of species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change”

My name is Andrea – Andrew for non-Italian friends.
Born in 1986, I’m a writer and entrepreneur.
I started working at my family’s café when I was 10.
I dreamed of playing in the NBA. Trained every day for countless hours. But then I broke my knee.
That’s when I picked up a bass guitar and started writing songs. I played in several bands around Rome through my late twenties.
In 2005, I started writing online, mostly on MySpace (before all the content there was accidentally deleted). In hindsight, it was a warning sign about social media — which is why I later created this proprietary blog.
After completing Classical studies (mostly Greek, Latin, literature and philosophy), I earned a degree in Political Science, followed by a Master’s in International Relations.
I spent several years traveling across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa—studying, volunteering, exploring. Then I got my first and only real “job”: managing a refugee center for a nonprofit.
But in 2015, I went broke. I questioned everything—this blog included.
That’s when I dove into sales and marketing.
I began freelancing online, working remotely, and reinvested my earnings to build my first successful digital business.
Later, I diversified: I bought shares in a CBD company and started investing in rental real estate.
In 2025, I realized I no longer needed to work for money.
So I returned to writing and sharing—for the sake of it.
In an age of growing superficiality, ever-present status games and fleeting micro-content, I want to go deep.
This writings are for those who feel the same urge.
Here you’ll find essays, reviews, and public journals that take time, thought, and real work— where I can leave a unique mark.
What else?
I’m passionate about ideas and music.
I despise religions and dictatorships.
I live in Ravenna (Italy) with my wife and two kids.
